I have two questions about tables-- the first straight-up, and I reckon the
second one is somewhat philosophical...

1. Is there any way to "intercept" the normal browser right-click context
menu long enough to select the cell contents so that when the browser's
right click menu is invoked, it will be the Cut-n-paste menu and be able to
copy/cut/paste the text (specifically copy-- that's what I'm really after)
to the actual system clipboard? And without resorting to reconfiguring
browser settings or using "flash" gimmickry?

All I want is for the user to be able to "copy" the text in a cell to the
actual clipboard, using the browser's actual right-click context menu. When
I tried it, I was never able to get the menu to go into the "edit mode"
(i.e. cut-n-paste) menu.

2. Why is does it seem difficult to work with a "table" at times when the
"gallery", on the other hand, seems pretty straight-forward?

I don't mean that as a complaint per se, but I'm just wondering why tables
seem a little "convoluted" and galleries don't? I realize that obviously
there is some additional stuff which is added *around* them to facilitate
their use one way or the other, but it seems like the issues that are
difficult in the table model-- single-cell selection, right-clicking a cell
without selecting the whole row, figuring out row / column, (smooth) custom
cell rendering-- both widget-based and html, isn't such a big deal in the
gallery. When I look at the actual html output, they both seem similar there
too-- a bunch of grouped and nested divs. So fundamentally, it seems like
what makes one work should be pretty much the same for the other.

Is the gallery a "new" implementation? Is the "table" being migrated to the
same or similar structure? Are there "gotchas" for one versus the other that
aren't obvious at first glance?

Basically if you styled the top row and first column like headers, you'd
essentially have a "table" or "spreadsheet" component...??? Of course there
would still be some work to hook up the models and events and such... I
recognize that.

Thanks for all assistance! And lots of Kudos for all the folks who work
hard to make Qooxdoo such a great package!!!
