Hi Alex,
Regarding Tables vs. Galleries being new--
Yes, that would explain it. Galleries seem much nicer. I reckon I'll have to
explore those a bit more when I get some time.
*Regarding the other--*
I did look at the demo, and I can do all that stuff pretty well. The one
thing I *haven't* been able to figure out though is how to:
(1) intercept the cellEvent PRIOR to the native browser right-click menu
(2) Select the cell contents and then
(3) Permit the native browser right click action to occur (or else invoke it
again directly) resulting in
(4) the EDIT Mode right-click menu.
If I could do that, I'd be happy enough to use the browser's right click
menu-- at least for my present application.
I'm scratching my head over this one...
John
Hi John,
for the first question you can take a look into the demo
http://demo.qooxdoo.org/devel/demobrowser/#table~Table_Context_Menu.html
The first two columns show the native contextmenu, the third prevents it and
the fourth column does show an application context menu.
I think that's the functionality you're looking for.
To your second question: they just have been implemented at different times.
The table evolved over timer and is one of the first complex widgets. The
gallery is rather new.
Regards,
Alex
