I guess the core team can give you a final answer on your question.

But you might also take into account that the user experience will be
different on various browser versions, even if those version are all
"supported".

In my experience the JS-implementation in IE6 is so slow that larger Qooxdoo
applications might be unpleasantly slow or even practically unusable.

Our applications work on IE7, but there are sometimes "slow running script"
warnings from the browser popping up (we didn't try to optimize our code to
get rid of them).
