Someone has created a qpid channel out at freenode.... there is little
-> no traffic on it.

Just FYI: if you want the channel on irc.codehaus.org, we could probably
get it logged fairly easily. That's what we've done for the #CXF
channel.
Also, codehaus.org has a "http frontend" at:
http://irc.codehaus.org/
so even those behind firewalls can participate.
That said, decisions still must be made on the email list.
