Steve, I still wouldn't move to using the SNAPSHOT with the new API's unless the Mina team can also commit to producing at least a "beta" release in the next couple weeks. Otherwise, we could run into the same snapshot issue with the M2 release. If they can get the 1.0.X release that fixes the bugs, I would stick with that for M2 and re-examine the API issues when there is some commitment from them to be able to produce a non-snapshot version. (a beta would be OK as long as it's uploaded to the maven repositories)
