All, Just a heads up - there seems to be a bug in the way fileMode elements in the Maven assembly plugin (2.2) are applied.
Essentially, they're not applied correctly. At least, not if you build on windows and then open the tar output on solaris/linux/cygwin. I'm trying to figure this out and have posted a question to the Maven team to ask for any pointers/known bugs. Bfn, Marnie
