Unlikely to be easier since it is highly likely that we use language features not supported by jython. I'd say people just have to download python and install it or learn to type whatever is required to skip the tests (like everyone does for the unit tests anyway :-)). If having to have freely available tools installed in order to be able to run tests puts some people off then that's just too bad. RG
