Absolutely, I'm just keen to see the defaults established in the M2 release preserved where possible, unless there is a compelling reason for change. Add new functionality to create the ideal client, yes. Change default behaviour from what exists currently, no thanks, not unless we have to.
The new URL format looks good to me, and naturally if the AMQP spec is going with it, then we have to go with it too. Lets have change where its needed, and advantageous, not simply for the sake of changing things.
