Yes, a good example is failover. Failover doesn't really work on the
0.8protocol, because it doesn't provide a compensating solution to the
coordinated attack problem (the problem of reaching a known 'committed'
state on both client and broker with certainty over an unreliable
connection). The 0.10 protocol, as I understand it, uses numbering to
provide a replay solution to this tricky puzzle. So this is an area that is
going to have to change, and for the better.
