I agree with you here. I would like to see a Qpid API, that is 1:1 the
protocol, and wrt language conventions, the same across all our target
languages, that does not look like JMS.

Again, I agree. This is hows its done in M2. This is just for Java, to be
JMS compatible, and as you say to slightly evolve JMS for the benefit of its
existing audience. I'd prefer to say cast-across, but lets not be picky!

Shame about the other thread, I was hoping we might set a new record.
