I'll give you the short answer first....
No.
At present Qpopper does not support qmail's Maildir format.
However it should work if you configure qmail to use Mailbox
instead of Maildir.
However, I asked the same question about a month ago, and got
the same anwer, but I did find out that Maildir support is on the
wish list for the next major release. Whether or not it makes it
remains to be seen. And because of that, I, for the time being, have
opted not to use qpopper on my qmail boxes. I'd rather keep the
Maildir format. There are no headaches of file locking, which would
be required for either the standard /var/spool/mail, or the
$HOME/Mailbox formats. Qpopper may be the best POP3 daemon
available, but it still has it's short comings.
