That's one wish we want to subscribe to.
Please keep in mind (and at Qualcomm they certainly do) that using the
Maildir format alone will not get you very far unless some metadata is
stored in a structure very similar to the .cache file available since
QP 4.0
We also might want to have the Mail Delivery Agent update that structure.
(requiring a file lock, I know...)
Imagine the POP3 daemon being forced to open/close hundreds of (small)
files on each invocation. That would *really* bring your server to its
knees.
