I am running Qpop 4.0.3(stand-alone) and have ssl enabled. Many of the
users already use STLS and Alternate Port SSL, and now I am trying to
disable clear text password logins.
I've tried enabling clear-text-password through the config file, tried
local, disabled, and ssl options for clear-text-password. For some reason
qpop does not even notice change in clear-text-password.
I've tried using the command line options, -p1, -p3, and -p4. But when
connecting to port 110 to check if it allows clear text logins I receive
this error:
[root@maxwell][/etc/ssl]> !telnet
telnet localhost 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
Usage: /usr/local/sbin/popper [-b bulldir] [-c] [-C] [-d] [-e
login_delay=nn,expire=nn] [-f config-file] [-F] [-l 0-2] [-L lock refresh]
[-R] [-s] [-S] [-t trace-file] [-T timeout] [-u] [-U] [-v]
Connection closed by foreign host.
Any suggestions? I've used qpop 4.0.0 and then upgraded to 4.0.3 thinking
that the problem might be fixed. Is clear-text-password option not even
supported?
Walter.
