The situation I'm dealing with is a time out the occurs when my modem connection gets dropped while mail is downloading to my Mail Client (forcably Outlook).
At the time the modem drops off, the mail server is in the middle of a session, transferring my mail to the client. When I redial and try to download again, the request is rejected. After 15 minutes, the session that was interrupted by the modem dropout times out, and I can resume the connection. Is there anyway to work around this problem? Or is a version upgrade suggested? Here is my configuration: Redhat 6.2 qpopper-3.1fc1-1 (rpm version) xinetd (qpopper runs inside of xinetd) -Rob
