Ok, after some searching on usenet, it appears that the problem is in eudora, where it has problems with the recent openssl stuff. It appears that it can be worked around with the patch in this message: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=3D51198D.6050802%40gnarst.net Seems to work to me, not sure what side effects that patch might have, so use at your own risk.
