Possibly related to an earlier thread, ANY time I recompile QPopper, even
with the same options, all stored mail gets redownloaded. I personally
store messages on the server for up to 5 days so I have access to it via my
webmail, and several of my users (mostly family) leave messages on the
machine as well because they use the webmail exclusively (although that end
is processed by UW-IMAP.)
In any case, have I missed this as a documented behavior, or is there
something rotten in Denmark? This is consistent on several machines that I
admin. This behavior was also present before the use of an IMAP daemon.
