I installed v4.0.5 on a Solaris 8 machine and am seeing some performance
problems. The popper process takes up 95%+ cpu on the system and when I
do a truss on the process(s) it is in a loop doing a "read(0,
0x00107254, 8192) = 0", a subsequent pfiles
reports "0" to be a socket to a client (my laptop), and a snoop on the
network shows no traffic on the port. I have not been able to find
anything that would point to this problem in the docs. Any one else see
something similar.
