Hy another question from me,

There is 1 user who dails in to the provider and gets his email at our server and he constantly has problems when trying to get his mail.
He uses windows 2000 pro and eudora. Our server is Debian with sendmail and qpopper with all up to date.
I've done a few things to smoothen the users mail. He doesn't have leave mail on server anymore so the mailbox will be smaller, i've put on tls in the chunky-write in the conf file and got the time out to 130 seconds. When he tries to get his mail he gets this message:

Sep  8 10:29:27 mail in.qpopper[31515]: (v4.0.4) Timeout (130
secs) during nw read from user39 at 195.240.250.232 (195.240.250.232)
[popper.c:591]
Sep  8 10:29:27 mail in.qpopper[31515]: user39 at 195.240.250.232
(195.240.250.232): -ERR POP timeout from mail.ourserver.nl
[popper.c:817]

Our mailserver is not that busy and the strangest thing is whenever I dail in when the laptop is in the office it works, does anybody have any suggestions?
He tried it at different locations, so it isn't the phoneline, it also isn't modemproperties or dial in properties.

Cheers,

Dick
