Merry Xmas to you all!

I was wondering if it would be possible to make a perl module with hooks from a SASL C library like Cyrus SASL (http://asg.web.cmu.edu/sasl/sasl-library.html) or GNU SASL (http://www.gnu.org/software/gsasl/).

I'm not familiar at all with perl XS modules, but it seems to me that a perl wrapper should not be too hard to make. It could be posted on CPAN to provide SASL server support for everyone. With such a module, if would be much easier to implement SMTP AUTH into qpsmtpd.

I'd like to know what people more familiar with XS modules think about this.

Cheers,
GFK's
