It depends on which queue plugin you are using. If you use the queue/qmail-queue plugin, then it should use your regular qmail queue. The other options are to use the postfix queue plugin or the smtp plugin which just sends the mail on to another smtp server. I am planning to soon make a maildir-queue plugin that'll save incoming messages to a maildir.
