In production for just over a month, at about 5k/day. I'm pretty sure that perl.org is using forkserver in production for longer than that, and they probably average 5k/hour or something insane. Perhaps Ask or Robert would care to share their numbers...
We've been using forkserver for many months now.
Over the past few hours, we've averaged about 4200 connections an hour. That number fluctuates a little, but not too much.
