A birdy tells me that qpsmtpd will be the default smtp server in the
next release of the e-smith SME server.
That birdy is correct, or you could have asked me instead :-)
Apparently that's 10K new
users (not sure whether that was end-users or actual admins).
We really have no idea how many servers there are out there these days.
But it's certainly many thousands. We're looking to revive download
counting with a future release.
Are they shipping 0.29, trunk, or the high-perf branch? Is it time to
roll 0.30?
7.0alpha is using 0.29, and rolling 0.30 would be great. That would pull
in my new plugins and allow me to remove them from the e-smith-qpsmtpd
package which wraps qpsmtpd.
For those who want to have a look at what we've done, grab the latest
Alpha from a mirror near you, e.g.:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/e-smith/devel/isos/
http://www.planetmirror.com/pub/e-smith/devel/isos/
Bug tracker is linked from https://sourceforge.net/projects/smeserver/
Thanks,
