attached. It's really a trivial program based on some example code I
found for dealing with vpopmail queries.
I am currently evaluating Zimbra:

which is a rich web mail client (AJAX) that stores all user
information in LDAP, so I may be revisiting this code to support LDAP
queries instead.

Please do voice your opinion of Zimbra when you're done evaluating.
It's something I've been meaning to look at (once I get some time).
If you're not interested in redoing your daemon, Hanno (Hecker) and I
both put up our plugins that check for valid recipients in LDAP.
