It's the last section in the README.plugins, titled Inheritance; it's
isa_plugin() and it is only a trivial inheritance scheme (i.e. you
cannot do multiple inheritance). It does work; I'm playing with
wrapping a queue plugin so I can do conditional forwarding (though I
don't like the way I've done it and cannot think of a better way).
About your other question:
Ask, did you think further about source IP specific configs, or the
ability to defer enabling/disabling plugins until connect time?
I don't remember what your proposal was; care you point to the thread in
the archives?
