Thank you for your reply, but I don't mind running all the other plugins (no problems with check_earlytalker here), and I'd like to keep my customizations as small as possible.
I'm running qpsmptd from xinetd, and I might even be able to run two different installations on two different ports, but Peter has the simple solution.
