Hi.

I am trying to go deeper in qtjambi and I have some questions about designer
used in jambi.

I have still problem to run designer (build in 4.6) as "jambi-designer". It
still tries to open/save .ui, not .jui files.

But - my question is - what is the main difference between qt designer and
jambi designer? As I see, xml files are very similar. I think (but can't find
any documentation about it) that jambi-designer should use custom widgets
written in java, but I am not 100% sure about this.

So, my second question is - is it necessary to use "hacked" jambi designer?

I am not using any custom widgets and I mean if I will do so, I'll write them
in c++ and re-use them in jambi.

Is anybody in this mailing list using any special features of designer
provided with qtjambi 4.5?

I think that designing "c++" .ui files in qt designer and converting them
into .java sources ( using modified juic, or by simple xslt transfromation )
should be much simpler and it saves a lot of work (for example in jambi linux
packaging).

What do you think (Eskil, Francis, Gunnar)?

Thx
