Hello! I'm now setting up a build environment on win32-msvc2005 using VirtualBox as we agreed should be the best platform to build QtJambi 4.6 on. Should we include Phonon support?
I have installed the Microsoft DirectX package on a clean Windows Service pack2 machine ( http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/aboutGFW/pages/directx.aspx) to get multimedia support, but still I see that I do not get Phonon support when running configure.exe when I'm going to compile Qt. Googling a bit, I find this documentation from the trolls: http://doc.trolltech.com/4.4/phonon-overview.html#installing-phonon which points me to this page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e6e1c3df-a74f-4207-8586-711ebe331cdc&DisplayLang=en Should I just go along installing this package as well? I'm really not the best expert around on Windows, so I'm just asking you to be sure I'm not doing anything stupid here.
