We'll consider that. Right now, Phonon isn't built with the Qt sources if the 
backends can't be built. KDE does the same thing, as a matter of fact.

But, as more backends become common (I'm thinking here of the VLC and MPlayer 
backends, like you said), we may have to revisit that issue.

What do you mean by "synchronise" ? :-)

We are developing inside the KDE Subversion server. We just copy the sources 
over so that our developers and packaging scripts can work without having to 
contact the SVN server. That happens every now and then, but doesn't count 
as "synchronise".

However, that does mean that the Qt 4.5 snapshots fall a little behind the 
code in SVN, from time to time.
