It doesn't do so here either. But I maybe some kind of d-bus-daemon.
I have no idea where the dependency on X11 comes from and I am very
interested in knowing when you found out. But the fact that we are
observing the same misbehaviour by using d-bus-support makes me think
that it has to do with dbus.

Yes. I've Dbus included, but otool -L on libdbus.dylib reveals
nothing like a X11 dependency?
