Take a large page, eg. the QWidget page. Not only it takes a sensitive time to display the first time (not too bad, yet), but now if you try to resize the main window by dragging the low right corner, it is completly slugglish. Several times slower than vo 4.5. This under Windows XP. On the mac, it's even worse, making it hardly possible to resize by hand the window (ok, I have a large screen). Easy to reproduce even on top machines. Note that I don't speak about scrolling speed, which is good.
I don't really mind about the speed of Assistant, but this behaviour is likely to happen in other Qt API (?). My guess is that some of your caching algorithm is behaving badly in this situation.
