This issue is still there in rc1, and it would be interesting to know the (good?) reason of this major speed regression: displaying a large page in Assistant is several times slower in 4.6 rc1 compared to 4.5.
Take a large page, eg. the QWidget documentation page. Not only it takes a sensitive time to display the first time (not too bad, yet), but now if you try to resize the main window by dragging the low right corner, it is completly slugglish. It does not feel right. And I run on a top system. On the opposite, if you display a page with a small contents (eg. QScriptable), then the speed is ok. I don't really mind about the speed of Assistant, but this behaviour could reveal some defect in some underlying At API.
