Unfortunately I don't know if there has been an entry in your task tracker to find out, what exactly had been done. This declaration is there since many years - what doesn't mean, that it has to be correct, but at least it was no problem for many Qt releases. And it can't be the source for the problem of the code snippet Michael has posted.
