Question for Jason: The following game illustrates an apparent fault in 0.95 Championship Player's endgame strategy. Can you confirm?
Having given up the win, CP should have been able to limit the spread to about 57, but ended up losing by 116 because on Turn 12 it left a lone Q on its rack, failing to consider that I had a reply [12 ... F7 O(I)] that would strand the Q. I can only conclude that it failed to sim that reply because it was among the lowest-valued of about 250 possible plays. #player1 Quackle Quackle #player2 Ross Ross >Quackle: ADEFRTV -FV +0 0 >Ross: ?EELOQS -QOE +0 0 >Quackle: ADEIRTW 8D WAIRED +28 28 >Ross: ?EEILSY 7H YEELInS +69 69 >Quackle: BIORRST D5 RIB.ORTS +76 104 >Ross: AEHILPT 6G PATH +40 109 >Quackle: IOSTTTV 8L TOIT +21 125 >Ross: BEILMRY 11D .REMBLY +28 137 >Quackle: EHPSTUV H11 .HUTS +42 167 >Ross: AADINVW 10C D.AW +31 168 >Quackle: EEIOPUV 6M OPE +24 191 >Ross: AAINRRV 14B VARIAN. +24 192 >Quackle: AEEIUUV C3 UVEA +18 209 >Ross: FGGIJOR E3 JOG +30 222 >Quackle: CEILNNU O1 NUNCL. +33 242 >Ross: AFGINRT 15H .TRAFING +98 320 >Quackle: ACDEEEI 12A CEA.ED +22 264 >Ross: AEKNOSX N1 OX +38 358 >Quackle: ?DEFIOZ 3M FO. +22 286 >Ross: AEKLNNS L5 KN.. +14 372 >Quackle: ?DEGIMZ N11 MIZE. +32 318 >Ross: AEELNOS 13L LA.E +26 398 >Quackle: ?DEGOQU A7 GEODU.k +30 348 >Ross: EIINOS F7 O. +2 400 >Quackle: Q - +0 348 >Ross: EIINS I11 .I +7 407 >Quackle: Q - +0 348 >Ross: EINS J11 .E +11 418 >Quackle: Q - +0 348 >Ross: INS E3 ...S +15 433 >Quackle: Q - +0 348 >Ross: IN 3E .IN +11 444 >Ross: (Q) +20 464 I guess it has to draw the line somewhere in its simming, but this example really smarts!
