I know this subject has come up in the past, but I don't know if anything has come of it. I think it would be useful to have an XML schema which can be used to describe 'crossword games' and their analysis including sim results and free-text commentary.
I'm working on yet another game description conversion script and the idea of having a universal format is attractive. I'm not entirely sure how one goes about publicizing a DTD, but attaching it to the Quackle.org domain would (I think) give it sufficient weight. Good luck at BAT, BTW.
