I thought that he said that the R simmed HIGHER. If the difference were opponent being able to bingo through an R, but not the H, then the R should sim LOWER. I think what's happening is that your opponent can't make a parallel play because of the C. If s/he takes the triple, you are more likely to have a huge counterplay through the R, if s/he makes a big play through the R, then you still have the TWS for a potentially big play.
