That is politics, my friend. If they could take all the money used for the
presidential election and spend it on research, it would be a win-win
situation. The best person would still win and look at all the research money that
would be available.
I sometimes think the politicians in general think the voters are dump and
stupid and don't check their facts. But as you can see by the replies, we know
that several quads do their homework, well.
