Has anyone ever healed a wound while sitting up daily?

I'm still battling mine Sam.  We were brainstorming with a nurse recently on how to possibly get me to be up more than 2 hours a day.  We thought of the donut rings but they can cause pressures elsewhere.  Still no easy answers.

The necrotic tissue has been gone from around mine for nearly 2 weeks.  With that battle over ... it's SLOWLY healing.  It was an inch deep.  Now 3/4 or less.

The biggest detriment to my healing faster is my wetness down there.  Like I'm in perpetual heat or something!  No yeast infection just too moist.  It drenches my bandages which is bad for the wound.

I'm considering staying in bed all weekend.  I've been getting up daily 2-3 hrs for my sanity and another position.  But if I stay in bed with only air getting to that area .. it'd help greatly WE THINK.

The other thing is that it's in such a bad place ... it's close to impossible to keep taped.  Plus the tape (any kind) has my skin raw which can breakdown.  Currently my husband has my whole ass taped to tape in different areas ... giving other areas a break.  But I only have so much ass.  I walked into that for people!  :-)

Wounds and sores suck.  Can't believe this one started.  Let's keep each other posted.  Nurses coming in only guess then leave.

'I wish it need not have happened in my time,' said Frodo.
'So do I,' said Gandalf, 'and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given, us. And already, Frodo, our time is beginning to look black. The Enemy is fast becoming very strong.
