I have to sit up because of my job (school teacher). I have an air flow mattress and sleep on my side so that gives some relief. I'm thinking of investing in a roho.  Question: Do protein supplements help very much?

I don't know of any way that a sore could heal spending that much time
in a cair. Not knowing the reason for spending that much time up I
could only ask if it were possible to break it up a little by lying
down for a while?
An Air-flow mattress can help speed healing due to constant air
circulation and pressure relief.

while sitting 10-12 hours a day. It has no depth like it did, just wide
and shallow. Doesn't seem to get any worse, but doesn't seem to get
much better either.

It's not the fall that hurts.
