I agree she was horribly thin. There was a shot on camera of her sitting in
a chair and her legs almost looked like a skeleton. They said she does
modeling too, so she has a double whammy to be ultra thin. Maybe now she is
retired from gymnastics at least, she can eat more. But modeling has such a
high demand for skinny that I doubt it. What a shame.

Tod!
I was joking when I said these things it's not like I was there I was by
myself in my bedroom but the girl looked anorexic was my point and down
right unhealthy, just tell me you didn't think she needed something in your
head I just said it out loud which I admit my mouth gets me into a lot of bs
but I do call'em as I see sometimes.
Shit Tod the muscles in my legs are bigger than her torso and I don't even
use them.
Just joking Tod be easy on me.

I was happy for her she commanded a lot of respect just walking around in
there.
I do think that body image worship is a big problem but I'm not the problem
I said she needed to eat something because she looked anorexic so you might
want to question why she's lost the weight, I believe she does some modeling
also!

Hey Mark,

That was Svetlana Khorkina... one of the best all-around gymnasts of our
times! She has won many golds at many events and has "moves" named
after her that she "invented" and made famous. Several are now
considered almost "expected" in gymnastic routines if one is to be
considered qualified to compete.

I agree she didn't do well this year. She's been around for many years
and won a silver at the 2000 olympics. The fall from the unevens was
unfortunate not only because it was a fall, but because it was a
Khorkina trademark move.

While she has become much thinner in the last couple years, her
excercise on the floor and her vault were outstanding in the all-around
events! I'm shocked and disappointed you resorted to what amounts to
name calling and body image worship in referring to this outstanding
athlete.

While she was disappointed with silver in 2000, in fact angry about it,
she realized her time as a gymnast was ending and was graciously
thrilled (to tears, actually) to be able to finish her career receiving
bronze in this year's events.

Best regards,
Tod
