I am also on SSDI and looks like I'll be in the same boat. When I reach 55 supposedly I can draw SS off of my ex-husband since we were married for just the amount of time that SS set. I read this yeeeaaarrrs ago so do not know if it still exists. It will change my rent, my Medicaid position and who knows what else. I have a few years before making the decision. Will have to see how much it would be and how much it will change things. If it winds up getting me $100 or so a month extra it may be worth it. Its something to think about. Gads, sorry about the 2 smiley faces, can't figure out how to delete the green one. ugh!
