Luke, No One can take better care of you like your own, period.
But life is an adventure just waiting to gobble ya up if you don't have a
plan A and a plan B. You will realize this if you so choose to relocate to a
college campus. You should plan on visiting the campus first and discuss your
worries with the Director of DisAbled Student Services.
As a new student you will be given a list of potential student aides that may
be pursuing a medical education and looking for hands on experience. Some
states will pay $7-!0 dollars per hour X 5 hours per day @ 7 days per week on
your daily requirements which include BP. After you join the campus you will
have an opportunity to meet with the student population that uses these services
and do interviews until you chose a person that you feel comfortable with.
You will then become their employer... while you are attending school. You
will have full authority to fire and hire another aide of your chosing. Remember
too that you are probably not the first quad on campus and that you can
request to meet with other quads before you transfer to the campus. The campus
quads will guide you accordingly.
Now, get ready for school and start your planning. You will have fun...
while you are getting an education and learning things about yourself that you
couldn't imagine you would do or learn. Best Wishes!
