Stuntman,
Michael Moore is an occassional pen-pal of mine. While I
respect his work as an artist (I would not call him a "documentarian", in the
strict sense of the word), I acknowledge that he has been absorbed in the
Democratic party (though many moderate democrats disclaim him, the party as a
whole profits from his one-sided attacks on Bush). In other words, I think
that some of his criticisms of Bush have merit, but the context is
skewed because he isn't holding Democrats to the same investigative fire.
Know what I mean?
I'm a third-party supporter, myself. I will vote
Libertarian when I have the option, but I'll vote Green or Reform as a second
choice, simply to broaden the sphere of public debate. Speaking for myself
- Democrats and Republicans support too much government intrusion into personal
choices. The more power we grant to the government, the greater the
liklihood that power will be abused.
Your Iconoclast,
Christopher Largen
