I'm sure that you realize that serving in the Military these days .... are
not equal.
The type of survival gear being issued to the guard is not like the survival
gear being offered to the enlisted soldier. I understand their pay scale also
differs greatly and so do their benefits while in Iraq.
Granted, this is an exception to the rule but recently heard of a story of an
injured soldier, injured in combat, in a military hospital, receiving a
notice from the Army telling him that he must return his re-enlistment bonus as he
was so injured that he could not finish his enlistment. (just what he needed,
I'm sure)
I personally believe that any soldier in combat deserves a lot more than they
are receiving and getting. I haven't heard of any generals getting injured
and we know that there's a hundred there in command.
Why isn't Rush Limbaugh doing his military duty or... jail time yet? I think
that he would have different story to tell if he did. Why is his wife Marta
on ice while his divorce is being settled by the attorneys?

<< In addition, The Servicemember's Civil Relief Act states that no interest

above 6 percent can accrue for credit obligations (that were established

prior to active duty or activation) while on active duty, nor can that

excess interest become due once the servicemember leaves active duty â

instead that portion above 6 percent is permanently forgiven. Furthermore,

the monthly payment must be reduced by the amount of interest saved during

the covered period.
