Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans and the
belated Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians,
First and foremost I would like to welcome all the
new members to the list. I have been spending a lot of time in bed lately
and haven't been greeting the newcomers.
My name is Gale See and I am a 65-year-old male C4
quadriplegic. I was 22 years post-injury on November 18, 2004 at 9:45 a.m.
I was injured in an automobile accident. Some of you in the list know me,
the new people don't so that's my history in a nutshell.
I have had many problems over the years with my
bowels and I am finally, (hopefully fingers crossed) going to rectify that, as
I'm going into hospital on January 4, 2005 to have a colostomy. My doctors
figure that this will resolve my bowel problems, and also eliminate a lot of my
skin problems. I have been battling sores of my buttocks for over five
years now. I am also having a suprapubic catheter put in at the same
time. Hopefully this will eliminate some of the bladder problems I've been
having. I will be signing off on January 3, 2005 and will sign back on
after everything is finished.
I hope you all have a great day a great week and a
great holiday season.
Gale :-)
