DMEs are locked in to sales contracts with manufacturers for better discounts based on total dollar sales in various quarters. So the more Invacares ordered the better the discount to the DME. Same could be said about the Permobile. Also, some DME will direct their employees to lean customers towards the specials. Invacare doesn't design everything they sell. So much of their equipment comes from China and then passes thru their doors for labels and manuals. You also have to remember that if you do need a part, where are you going to get it from and will it be quick shipped. You might also pose a written question to "Contact Us" at Permobile's website without revealing your DME and see what Permobile has to say. Best Wishes and Happy Holidays W

I like both of them, but my vendor told me that for permobiles are sometimes not as reliable as Invacare. He said that Invacares are the leaders in power wheelchairs. According to him permobile and quickie are still playing catch-up. It's not that I don't trust him; I just want a more influential point of view and they figured a little input from all of you guys would help me out. For all I know he could be getting a kickback from Invacare. Nyree----- Original Message ----- >>
