Interesting perspective. Had not considered that particular point of view.

I know a few paras who have no sexual function at all. No feeling and no erections. I know a bunch of quads who have full sensation 'down there' and even get long lasting erections. It would be a tough call to say one would rather be 'A' para than 'A' quad. There are many things to consider in selecting a least or most favorite ailment. We are indeed all different.I used to pick up girls at the meat market for my AB friends because they are 'normal' gawkers and I am a curiosity. Girls feel safe around me because they can leave anytime they want. Most come over willingly to find out what I'm all about. They often drool when learning about my bedroom durability. Before I get too far into anything, I sic my AB buddys on them. I also find many women feel so comfortable with me that often in the first hour they are dumping their hearts out on me. Very intimate stuff for a pure stranger. I guess I have that fatherly appeal - (or more recently - that grandfatherly look. Dave's New Toys ) All in all, I'm not so disappointed I'm A quad rather than A para.Ya gotta play what ya got dealt.DaveIn a message dated 1/9/2005 7:47:11 P.M. I may be one of the rare para's that knows what it's like to be a quad so I could never see all paralysis as the same. I know that I am damn lucky to be a para and not a quad.Stacy----- Original Message -----From: David K. At least I hope not! I know I don't think that way!
With Love,Your right in the aspect of everyday life. Of course I know that. The statement was related to relationships. Para's are still seen as paralyzed. In the aspect of getting looked at as a sexual being is just as hard for para's to face. To the opposite sex paralyzed is paralyzed.Stacy----- Original Message -----From: GregSent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 12:20 PMSubject: Re: [QUAD-L] Frustration/sensitiveThat statement shouldn't hurt anyone. It's true... Paras have it easier than quads. Just like a C5 like me has it easier than a C4. The more moement you have, the more you can do for yourself. If it's not a fact, than show me someone who would volunteer to break their spine a few levels higher.Greg"Stacy I wasn't implying that para's have it easier I was just saying if I had a good "Grip" I could help myself!"The moral flabbiness born of the bitch goddess Success.
