Jim,  I'm in Maryland and it's 26.  The coldest day so far this winter.  Before I got sick I would have agreed with you.  I was a winter person and couldn't stand heat.  Since I got sick I am completely opposite.  I can't stand winter temperatures and 90 is a walk in the park.  I love 90 degree temperatures although 80 is better but we see many 90 and above days in the summer.  I do enjoy the season changes and like you could never live in the south during the summer.  That is just way too hot for me.  I hope you get your lift working properly.  Good luck,

Stacy

Subject: [QUAD-L] Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Today was the coldest ambient temperature that I have seen since being in a wheelchair.  I guess 34 below zero is a little too cold for the wheelchair lift to work.  I tried to go to work today but even with my PCA standing on my lift it would not come down.  So here I sit, answering 100 e-mails.

I complain to the manufacture about the slow operation of my lift and they were supposed to change my oil, free of charge, and replace it with an ultra thin hydraulic fluid.  A change my oil last summer and I'm not sure exactly what they did but it is worse this year that it has been in the past.  The manufactures representative told me that if they put to thin of an oil I might get seepage around my seals in the summertime.  I told them I can deal with a little seepage plus, living in Duluth, MN is not like living in Phoenix, AZ with temperatures over 100 degrees.  If we are unlucky, we might see 90 degrees for a couple days. Yes, I said unlucky because I could never stand that type of heat and I still can't.
