Tony,

I'm with you.  I'm on SSDI plus I work three days per week and I have no desire to go back to work full-time because of the consequences and all of the delays to get back into the system if I was to end up unable to work.  I'm not only get a check on SSDI but my youngest daughter receives a check until she is 18. Because I was in a stronger union, I was fortunate to have very good health care plus, we paid more into our health-care program monthly so we could Bank extra insurance premiums.  When I got injured I had several months in the bank but when I got injured and used up the extra months they dropped me like a piece of used toilet paper.  I'm also fortunate that my wife's job has health insurance, which I am on now plus my MA.

I have to be careful so I do not make over the limit per month otherwise, after nine months I believe it is, I would lose my SSDI and have to fend for myself.  We have a good system but they put so many restrictions on it that you have to be careful otherwise you'll lose it.

Jim
