I'm not employed. I never got my foot in the door. I interviewed for many jobs and even got a second interview with the federal government but things didn't work out. Even if I got the job from the feds, my health -skin/chest infections/bladder infections - is so chronic that I probably wouldn't have lasted long. It is quite defeating.
.....yeah, don't sweat it too much...there's ABsthat have hard time. I think quads have a mountain to climb that we sometimes don't know how high it is. I have a book written, but no ambition to get it published...its just short stories, but would love to see it in print one day - lot of rejection in that field too! lol
I got a degree in political science. The reason I chose that was that I was so close to a degree that I didn't want to start in computers that would set me back years. Little did I know that the course load required, while small compared to others, still took me years to accomplish. The fact that I'm terrible with math also played a part in choosing my major and minors.
........i'm exactly like you!! I had to find a major that was very weak in math. i bet i'm worst than you....i'm like retarded mathmatically!!
I used tape recorders from my notes and sometimes the school hired others to hand writing my notes. I use a pencil splint for some of my work process but it takes forever one key at a time and my arm tires easily. I got a cheap voice recognition software that is much better but still easily makes mistakes. It also took me about 10 years to get my degree. I did not even go to graduation I was so disgusted that it took me so long. I have relatives that say I should be proud and I suppose I am.
.....well, i was determined to go to that damn graduation. i figured after almost 10 yrs of driving, pushing, studying, bitching that i should grad onstage. I almost didn't get in the building....i had to go to a backdoor of the coliseum. I was by myself, had to fight my way up a steep ramp....FINALLY, after 20 mins of fighting, i got up it, and the door was locked...i kept banging on it, but door was steel...not easy to hear. Somebody did eventually open it...
I have been out the school for about four years and really want to get involved. I have transportation/someone to drive me around but I'm not close to any organization that I could easily reach. My attendant also has hours that are somewhat confining to my schedule.
.......well, i'm lucky i drive, but fought hard for that too!! I had to get a loann for $8,000
I'm glad to hear the luck you have had with women. I don't have too much of the problem initiating conversation but the follow-up meeting is difficult and rarely happens.
....i'm not good at initial conversation, but somehow lured em in. I must say, i had more girls in my 20s n 30s, but the quanity has dropped off. i do have a girl now who is incredible....smart, pretty, playful, sexy, cute and loves me like crazy, but a few obstacles stand in our way...we'll see what happens. I still fall in love every day at work...lotta young pretty spanish girls work where i do. ; )
I live with my father outside Chicago. It is damn cold now but I'm glad I don't feel the cold the same way I had years ago.
well....i couldn't do anything if i luved up there - weather elements would stop me dead in my tracks!!
Were you anywhere near the hurricane?
....we were hit by two hurricanes last year, but nothing major....70 mph wind gusts, which was scarey, but no house damage.
peace out.......tony
