I was  under the impression you sit like that in your chair when you said you sit with your legs crossed.  I do in bed for not for a long time.  One leg would be bent over the other but I see red marks on my thigh sometimes and that  would be where a pressure sore would start if I sat like that too long.  Just need to be careful crossing those legs.

Thanks for your advice on that one, I only sit crossed legged when sitting on the floor, but I might try and get in the habit of sitting with straight legged instead!

I would be careful sitting with your legs crossed.  I was told that it could hinder your circulation.  I know that before I got sick, my legs would fall asleep if I sat in that position for too long of a time.  That was to let me know that circulation wasn't getting to my leg.  Now that paralysis is involved, it's really not a good idea.
